Answer: These lines occur towards the beginning of Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. Here Crusoe admits his own fault for disobeying his parents while going to the sea.

Wanderlust was intrinsic to the very nature of Robinson Crusoe. For this reason, despite his father's repeated advice to be satisfied with the middle station of life and his (F) forbiddance to go to the sea, Crusoe could not be resisted. He turned a deaf ear to his father's suggestions and without bidding farewell or consulting his father and mother, he went on board a ship bound for London on September 1651. Crusoe now thinks that he made a blunder by disobeying his parents and he had to undergo dire consequences for it. Their ship could not go that far. But the wind began to blow strongly. He had to face a shipwreck and undergo terrible misfortunes. Crusoe feels that he is overtaken by the judgment of Heaven and God has salt his punishment for his crime of abandoning his father and mother and neglecting his duty to them.

Through these lines, Crusoe refers to the original sin" that Adam and Eve committed by going against their will.of God. The lines have a moralizing effect that nobody should disobey his/her father, the representative of God in the family.
